program

Hosted by the duo of film directors and art directors, CARAVANE, this workshop will provide an opportunity to reflect on what filmmaking and art direction means in today's world. With a visual signature at the border between graphic design and contemporary art, CARAVANE has developed a hybrid creative space between production and artistic direction where artistic identity, commercial and communication objectives meet.

Developing your own visual identity is essential to enhance your projects and create a link with your audience. Jean-Constant Guigue and Francis Dakin-Côté have understood this, having an identity characterized by the fusion of their divergent personalities and backgrounds, which allows the development of unique projects. It is also a DNA and a particular approach to collaboration that drives the projects signed CARAVANE, a vision that will be shared with the participants.

Guided by CARAVANE through real case studies, participants will be able to better identify how to develop their own visual style and how to bring it to life within their cultural and commercial mandates. Concrete examples and exercises will be given, which can be applied on a daily basis to directors and artistic directors, but also to all creative people working in the visual arts and graphic communications sector.

Directors / Artistic directors

Studio Caravane

Caravane is a creative duo founded in 2015 by directors and artistic directors Jean-Constant Guigue and Francis Dakin-Côté. Based in Montreal, the duo specializes in the creation of videos, photos and installations that are surreal, imaginary and poetic. Francis and Jean-Constant quickly distinguished themselves for their 100% handmade aesthetics, located on the border between design and contemporary art. The duo was born from the desire to collaborate by combining the expertise of each other, with the aim of creating unique, sophisticated and high-impact images.
