Patryk Stasieczek (b. 1984) is a visual artist living between Montréal and Vancouver. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montréal, QC. He is currently a visiting full-time faculty member at Concordia University, and previously a sessional faculty member at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. From 2014-2016 he was the director and co-curator of Gallery 295 in Vancouver, BC, an exhibition space focused on emerging photographic practice. His interdisciplinary practice is located within re-framing the photographic as an iterative, transdisciplinary medium through the arms of curation, education, installation, and subsequent documentation.

And Chamber is a site-specific light intervention within a former dance studio as an orientation of the photographic through an amplification of space and time. Within this space of rehearsal, the contemporary viewer is called to emulate a photographic position and is invited to document, record, and perform the photographic in place of the artist.
