Motomichi Nakamura is a New York-based digital media artist in general and a mapping artist in particular. His love for projection mapping has built up over time throughout his career first in graphic design, online animation and game, on air animation and VJing.
It’s again his love for the medium of projection that pushed him to come to Chromatic to talk about his art and passion and give the audience a deeper look-around of what is Projection Mapping Art. Starting at the beginning with how that medium emerged and how it can be compared to other digital media arts, Motomichi will introduce us next with the main technical and artistic aspects of mapping. Throughout his talk, he will showcase his own work as example and explain his relationship he has built as an artist with his medium.
