program

This workshop aims to establish the distinction between the different concepts gravitating around philanthropy as “donations”, “sponsorships”, “philanthropy”, “development” and “philanthropic culture”. A brief profile of the philanthropy sector in Canada and in Quebec will be presented, while focusing on the arts industry.
-
With regards to individuals, philanthropy is approached from a different angle depending on the generational profile of the donor. A review of these different profiles, with their particular characteristics, will be presented while highlighting the implications they have on establishing a strong philanthropic culture. From the point of view of businesses in the arts industry, certain recurring difficulties can be observed when a philanthropic initiative is born.
-
What are those difficulties and possible solutions? Which winning conditions are necessary to implement a philanthropic culture within an organization, and what are its pitfalls? Caroline Bergeron will outline the essential tools and techniques to increase the resources of your business!
-
Without registration, subject to seat availability.
