Jumanji (DJ set)

With her strange sounds and irresistible rhythms, Phoebé Guillemot aka RAMZi maps a world that exists only in her imagination. Priori is an alias of Montreal-based Quebecois musician Francis Latreille. Having put out solo releases on Greek label Echovolt and Canadian imprint ASL Singles Club in the last year, he also contributed to a number of collaborative projects including Jump Source, M.S.L., Housemates and ANF. Co-founder of Naff Recordings, Francis has made technical contributions to releases by Ex-Terrestrial and Gene Tellem amongst others. Jumanjí is the joint persona of RAMZi and Priori.

Jaymie Silk

Jaymie Silk is a producer and DJ with a penchant for enticing, hard-hitting grooves. His music—a hybrid, drum-led style taking in house, techno, footwork, and UK bass—looks to the glamour of the ’80s and the audacity of the ballroom scene for influence, whilst using his Afro-European roots as further touchstones. Music Producer and Resident DJ for the Montreal Ballroom scene, Jaymie Silk quickly made a name as a producer and a DJ. Mixing bass and club music, heavy percussions, Afro rhythms and his ethnic influences.

With releases on Boukan Records, Bel Air Sounds, Resources, Knightwerk Records, Frite Nite, Trekkie Trax, Moonshine, Ghost Club Records, his music was featured on BBC radio 1 Xtra, CBC, Mixmag, Afropunk, Redbull Radio, The Fader, Fact Mag, Vice Magazine, Xlr8r, France Inter, Rinse FM, Couvre x chefs, Wide Radio on Ooukfunkyoo and Moskalus.

Mollygum

Mollygum was born and raised in China, she has been active on the dance floor since 2010. In recent years, she’s been a key feature to the Montreal’s music scene. She hosts her monthly show on the most fun web radio N10.as, as well as her “Dance or GTFO” parties on a regular basis.

Mollygum is at every party and always knows what the crowd wants to hear. Her fresh selection of fun house music keeps the party going till dawn.

Most recently, she’s been firing up crowds with her sets at Piknic Electronique, opening for Ross From Friends, and Jacques Green (who's shown she also programmed), and much more! Mollygum has become a household name at popular dance venues Datcha and Newspeak, where you can catch her playing on a regular basis.

She is also stepping into the world of music production. Her remix of “Les routes indolores” for Quebec pop singer Lydia Képinski will spread on her upcoming album “Premier juin”.

Palma Disco

Palma Disco is a trio of DJ's Empress, Huilly Huile and Nemeh. They target the dance floor with their pan-African & afro-diasporic selections to thrill bodies and minds. Their Montreal evenings are filled with Afropop, GQOM, Baile Funk and Dancehall rhythms.
The collective Échantillons is at the origin of Palma Disco evenings and various events with a view to occupying and politically investing the spaces.

Samples is a multifaceted project that offers, on the Montreal webradio n10.as, a critical listening to African aesthetics. The program is assembled according to the team's findings, but also according to the contemporary and historical political, economic and cultural dynamics that permeate African musical productions, their broadcasting and reception here. It is according to this selection that Empress, Huilly and Nemeh discuss, from a diasporic and mixed perspective, the relationships of power and tensions through and from African aesthetics.

Silktits

silktits is a DJ, radio host, and community organizer who is known for her digs and ability to work a dance floor. She blends reggae, funk, synth-pop, house, disco and many other genres to create a mellow flow in her radio show “Tender Grooves” on N10.as, which airs on the last Sunday of every month. Tender Grooves made a special appearance on The Lot Radio in Brooklyn this past November. silktits has made recent waves in the Montreal scene since her live vinyl mix last summer at Piknic Électronik with Roberto S & Seb Wildblood. During the past year, silktits has played several sets at the “Disco Troopers” party series in Montreal’s after-hours venues, held DJ residencies at various cocktail bars, and continued to organize/play late-night DJ events in both Montreal and Toronto.

Lilith

Charline completed a visual arts degree at UQAM, as well as previously studying graphic design at Boulle and Olivier de Serres in Paris. By using video installation, printmaking or visual performance, she questions different notions such as identity and otherness. By integrating slow progressions, her video becomes like an hypnotic tool inviting the audience to feel oneself in the present.

She has previously performed in conjunction with musicians such as Alexandre St-Onge, Nick Schofield, Emilie Mouchous, Karl Fousek, Joël Lavoie, Khôra and Renart. Her work has been presented in Paris, Brussels, Toronto and Montreal.
