Installation

about

As sculptors, we find ourselves swimming in troubled waters, somewhere between image and materiality. We are in constant exploration, from the tactile qualities of sculpting and tridimensional space to the virtual light of screen culture and the post-Internet era of image explosion. With a true commitment to experimentation and improvisation, we create material installations in response to the deluge and constant saturation of visual information in contemporary culture. Blurring the lines between rational and absurd, measurable and metaphysical, we strive to dislodge our creative practice from the dogma of comprehensive prescription. By wrapping a blanket of contemporary psychedelia around the immaterial and the subconscious, we aim to cultivate an unbridled space where contemplation and entertainment can freely mix.

Contemporary artists plunge their practice in a flow that circulates between two vast fields; a river limited on one side by the tactile and physical world of materiality, and fed on the opposite side by the moving and mercurial semiotics of a universe of images. We examine the migration of culture and contemporary imagination towards the field of virtual networks, where we all have to reconsider our definition of presence, absence and reproducibility as we create our own comprehension of authenticity. Our practice is at the heart of the vacant lands which delimit virtual and reality, a position of ambiguity and fracture, imposing a hand on the machine, in search of the human in the digital world.
