-
Photographer Jerry Pigeon, aka Le Pigeon, is known for his intimate shots and more recently, for having completed portraits for artists such as Ariane Moffatt, Antoine Corriveau and the duo Milk & Bone.
-
Intimacy constitutes an important part of his work. His pictures convey a certain sense of vulnerability, always shot in the utmost simplicity and under delicate lighting. He uses the term “unarmed” when talking about the people on the other side of his lens. Placed in natural positions, with little or no makeup, his subjects always exude a noticeable emotion and are often photographed with a 35mm. The result is gentle, smooth, and imbued with humanity.
-
Having proven himself in the worlds of fashion and portraits, Le Pigeon is now more and more interested in documentary photography. He is actually preparing an exposition regarding the muscular world of crossfit, as well as photographing a number of inspiring subjects on a weekly basis.
