How does it work?

A film shoot in just three hours

about

3 hours = 3 steps

Show up 20 minutes early! It’s important to be there on time so you can get ready and visit the Factory and not slow down other groups or even your own. Each session lasts three hours.

-
Step 1 - The Writing

Workshop 1: creating a story (45 mins)
The group (5 to 15 people) inspect the decors. It then collectively appoints a camera operator and chooses a genre, the intrigue and the characters.

Workshop 2: writing the scenario (45 mins)
The group determines the actions of every scene, distributes the roles and selects the necessary props and costumes (bring your own too!).

-
Step 2 - The Shoot

With the help of a small video camera, the group shoots its own film, in a chronological order and by using the in-camera editing method: a single take per sequence.

-
Step 3 - The Viewing: a movie experience

Once finished, each group views its own movie. A DVD copy is added to the video store at the entrance, where everyone can enjoy it on a large screen.

Three hours later, the group leaves the Factory with a DVD copy of its masterpiece!
